According to Sadhguru in which also I too agree, energy in a way closes the gap between time and space for us to manifest our dreams&prayers...only I could achieve my dreams by first, increasing my energy by intense focus and then secondly after learning meditation techniques, I was able to first feel the spiritual energy and generate it whenever I want.
Other aspect of energy is, what I see is now energy in a way determines the quality of your perception...Only after you reach a certain degree, you drop mundane things and head the real deal... You then know that you want to break your karmic cycle, be able leave your body consciously, not by fate or chance.
Energy has both qualities
I remember I used to want things for my very ego mostly, rather than the pure function of them...I used to feel lost and not to do both for my life and death, only with the coming of energy I was able to form my route.
